Updates

Well, how do you like the new layout everyone? I figured it was time for a change, now that it's amost July! Even though it may seem dark, this is my summer theme =) Summer night dream ;) The photo on the layout is of Istanbul, Turkey, at dusk. I took it on my trip. =) How I miss it!

Anyway, besides the new layout, I only have a very few measly updates for you. First, I have two new Lost banners, featuring Daniel Faraday and Skate. And other than that, I just have one new drawing that I made on my trip. It was supposed to be the Beatles, but as you can see, I ran out of room :P and there are only three. Not to mention it's not very good so it doesn't actually LOOK like the Beatles...



So that's all for now. I hope you'll all start commenting again, now that you can see I'm back! :P

If any of you have been wondering why there has been a blank index page of this site for the past few weeks...well, it's because for some stupid and unknown reason, Cutenews has died. I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. It worked for about 4 hours, and then randomly screwed itself over again. So I am not wasting the time and energy to solve the problem. Thankfully I have all my news and comments archived and I can still access them. But from here on out, we're going MANUAL. :P And I will be using Haloscan for comments. =]

So what else have I been up to during this absence? Well, I was in Europe for two weeks - from June 7-20. Some of you may know that, but others may not, thanks to evil Cutenews. My family and I were in Rome for two days, before we went on a Mediterranean cruise to the Greek islands, Turkey, Athens, and Naples. It was an absolutely amazing trip, and I was sad to leave. Someday I'll get all my pictures uploaded somewhere to share with you all, but until then, check my deviantArt for some of the more "artistic" shots.

As for updates on this site, I really don't have many new ones since before my trip. But as most of you didn't get to SEE my last update, I will repost it now for you...

Art: Well, this is kind of a different art update today. I don't have very much of the art that I normally post here - instead I uploaded most of my school and/or graphic design projects. But some of them are interesting, so I'll go through them with you =]

The Shadow Proves the Sunshine is a graphic design project, redesigning the album cover to the Switchfoot CD "Nothing is Sound". I got some good feedback on this at the Switchfoot forum, so let me know what YOU guys think ;)

Pump Up the Volume is a tshirt design project that I did for my school's student council. Based off of the iTunes commercials (duh :P).

Anthem Ts is another tshirt design project, this time for my Economics class. Included is a company logo and two tshirt design examples.

Finally, the last project is Choir Dance Posters, made to advertise a dance my choir was having.

I have some more that have yet to be uploaded, but it will probably be awhile before I can, due to the end of school [aaaaaaaaah!!!] and going to Europe.

But I do have a couple pieces of "normal" art to share today. First is a Lost banner, featuring Jack, from when I used to like him :P Then is another redesign of Switchfoot's "Nothing is Sound" album. I called it "The Contradiction" because it relates to the lyrics of one of the songs on the album, Golden. After that is a desktop of Tom Brady, made for a friend on a forum. Definitely not my greatest work, but I tried :P Finally is an Edward/Bella piece that I just made for the heck of it. Again, not amazing, but I tried :P I am so proud of myself because I convinced two of my friends who used to make fun of my obsession over Twilight to read the books, and now one of them is totally and COMPLETELY hooked. She started New Moon today and I was taunting her...good times :biggrin:
